Hunter CarrVice ChairmanHunter Carr, a Tyler, Texas native, is the Vice President of Carr Resources, Inc., where he brings over a decade of experience in the oil & gas industry. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Geology from the University of Georgia and a Master's degree in Petroleum Geology from the University of Houston. With experience spanning across petroleum and geothermal geology, business development, and operations, Hunter hopes to put his skills to use defending the rights of operators across Texas to be sure their voices are heard at state and federal levels. His leadership extends beyond his company as he currently serves as the President of the East Texas Geological Society (ETGS), the Gulf Coast Association of Geological Societies (GCAGS), and a Board Member of the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce’s Energy Council. Additionally, he is an active member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). Outside of his professional life, Hunter enjoys traveling, golf, hunting, and shotgun sports.
